Ali Mohammed, a German teacher, leaves his native Iran to come to Vienna with his son and younger sister. He knows Vienna through the ‘Sissi’ films which he had seen countless times. He yearns for the culture familiar to him through his studies, as well as for the joie de vivre of the Viennese. Upon arriving, Ali Mohammed discovers that Vienna is different after all.
