Till Fellner (piano)
Beethoven Zyklus V

Viennese pianist Till Fellner will play all Beethoven piano sonatas in a cycle that will span seven concerts during two seasons. There is an absolutely crystalline quality to Fellner’s playing that articulates clearly themes and melodies, and an intensely personal quality to the playing that shows a keen understanding of the inner emotion of each movement of the sonatas being presented. Anyone fortunate enough to sit near the keyboard and watch Fellner’s face could see the close involvement of the pianist himself in the music being performed. This concert is the fifth concert of the cycle. The complete cycle will be presented in Washington, D.C., New York, Tokyo, London, Paris, Vienna and other cities.

Program:
Sonate As-Dur, op.26
Sonate Es-Dur, op 27/1
Sonate cis-moll, op.27/2 “Mondschein”
Sonate F-Dur, op. 54
Sonate C-Dur, op.53 “Waldstein”
