Dear Friends,
On January 12 a terrible earthquake wreaked havoc on Haiti – causing wide-spread destruction, thousands of deaths and injured persons and leaving millions of people in jeopardy.
This is why the Austrian Embassy decided to hold its next cultural event as a charity for Haiti.
Our artists Elena Denisova and Margrit Julia Zimmermann have graciously agreed to dedicate their performance to people of Haiti.
Like for all of the events of the Austrian Cultural Forum, the admission is free, but we suggest a donation of 15$ or more per guest.
All the proceeds of the evening will be given to UNICEF to support their work in Haiti.

Elena Denisova, one of the finest and most charismatic violinists of her generation, is known for her great musical maturity, individual style of interpretation and supreme virtuosity. Her performances have won critical acclaim from press and public alike. She regards herself as an ardent "ambassador of tonal magic" and this credo underlies and informs all of her interpretations of both the Classical and the Modern. Various contemporary composers have dedicated works to her and she has immortalized these in numerous recordings.



Margrit Julia Zimmermann is an artist with uncommon poetic talent. Her special style and her fine, gentle touch represent the best traditions of European and Russian piano schools.  She possesses an unusual musical creative ability and variety, that especially comes to life in interpretations of music by Schubert, Schumann and Brahms.
